Email: Greetings from London
Now that we’ve been in London for a few days, I thought it would be fun to compare the subway systems of New York and London.
Now that we’ve been in London for a few days, I thought it would be fun to compare the subway systems of New York and London.
When we went on a walking tour in London, we saw some interesting things. We saw the Rosetta Stone and many cool old works of ancient times.
We are now in a small town in the state of Sikkim, India called Yuksom. It is the jumping off point for our six day trek in the Himalayas.
With our trek in the Himalayas over, we made our way back to the airport. On the way to Delhi, we saw Kanchenjunga from afar (the third highest mountain in the world) as well as Everest from the plane window.
We are now in the dead center of the country – Alice Springs. It’s been in the 90’s and 100’s degrees F for the last week. And because of wet weather to the north, it’s a bit humid as well.
We have now been home for a little over four weeks. Lauren and Kristen have gone through all the questions that were sent and answered them.
Beijing was the first stop on our three week trip. We visited the Forbidden City in addition to our day trip to the Great Wall.
We are still in Xian. The other night, Sandy and I took a little walk through the city. If it wasn’t for the diesel fumes and the drum tower at the end of the block, you wouldn’t know you were in China.
After leaving the relaxation of Dali, we visited Kunming, another large Chinese city. The major highlight of this visit was a day trip to the Stone Forest.
It is Friday and we have been in Yangshao the last few days. It is a small town (for China) about 40 miles south of Guilin in Southern China.
