Cosmos: Brisbane, Australia
Brisbane is a very nice city. We enjoyed walking around the downtown area. We also spent time in the Lone Pine Sanctuary and the Australia Zoo (home of the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin).

We spent three days seeing the major city sights: touring the Sydney Opera House, walking across the Harbor Bridge and taking a harbor cruise.
To get to Adelaide, we took a 24 hour train trip aboard the Indian Pacific.
We rented a car in Adelaide and began to drive north, toward Alice Springs and Darwin, our final destination.
After turning off Stuart Highway and driving about 140 miles west, we reached Ayers Rock, also known as Uluru.
We left Ayers Rock and drove five hours to Alice Springs. We made time for a visit to a reptile center and a camel farm, where we all rode a camel.
In the Northern Territories, we visited Litchfield National Park before heading on to Darwin.
We spent 3 1/2 weeks in Australia and saw a great variety of the country, from the east coast cities of Brisbane and Sydney to the smaller towns of Adelaide, Alice Springs and Darwin, with Ayers Rock, Litchfield National Park and the Outback in between.
