Email: Greetings from Winnipeg
We are in Winnipeg, Manitoba for a four hour train stop on our journey from Toronto to Vancouver. This gives us the opportunity to get off the train and see the city.

We recently returned from a two week trip to South America, visiting Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. It was a tough journey, probably the most adventurous trip in several years that we have taken. I couldn’t help feeling at one point in the trip, however, that maybe I was getting too old for this.
We spent two days viewing Iguazu Falls from both the Brazil and Argentina sides and enjoyed the panorama from each side.
Darren and I are traveling in South America for two weeks, visiting Argentina , Paraguay , Brazil and Uruguay . Our first stop is Buenos Aires , which we reached via a 10-hour overnight flight from Dallas.
When we last wrote we were in Buenos Aries. After our third and final day there, we boarded a bus heading to Posadas, Argentina which is about an 815 mile, 14 hour trip away. Then we were driven about three miles to the Paraguayan border.
Iguazu Falls, which is located on the Parana River between Brazil and Argentina, is one of the great waterfalls of the world. Legend has it that when Eleanor Roosevelt first saw it, she said, “Poor Niagara!”
When traveling internationally for an extended period of time, there is a balance between bringing what you want and not being weighed down by a ton of luggage.
Stirling, our second stop in Scotland, is of great strategic and historic importance. We spent our time visiting the castle, old town and the William Wallace Monument.
We are now in Stirling, which is one of the most historical spots in Scotland. The strategic location of the city, between Southern Scotland and highlands to the north led to many famous battles fought between the Scottish and English in the late 1200’s / early 1300’s.
Lauren and I are now in Fort William, on the western side of Scotland and a major gateway to the highlands. We spent three days here enjoying the scenery while dodging rain storms.
